Mitosis is a process of nuclear division in eukaryotic cells that occurs when a parent cell divides to produce two identical daughter cells. During cell division, mitosis refers specifically to the separation of the duplicated genetic material carried in the nucleus. There are some stages of mitosis. They are: Interphase, Prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase. Cytokinesis also occurs during mitosis in which the cytoplasmic component gets separated or divided in two parts and two daughter cells are created from one parent cell.. In each newly formed daughter cell, nucleus and other organelles reappears. Each daughter cell contains genetic material in the nucleus. In this video th author has beautifully explained each step of mitosis with the colourful animation which is very easy to understand and easy to remember.
